Year 5 pupils took part in a 'Hindu Day' today with Krishna Avesha from Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford, London. They learnt about meditation, the Hindu belief in God and the importance of worship in Hindus everyday lives. Some pupils were invited to dress up as one of the three gods in the Trimurti, Brahman, Vishnu and Shiva and some dressed up as their wives! Then all the pupils had the opportunity to dress up in saris/turbans and have their faces painted. Tell me what you thought of the day by leaving a comment.
All the pupils of the school were then able to take part in a Special Act of Service taken by Krishna who told the story of Rama and Sita (with the help of some of the pupils) and performed Aarti which is the Hindu worship. Leave a comment to let me know what you thought about the service.
