As you will see some of the comments posted about the Pentecost work that some Y7 pupils have produced are not from pupils at Nodehill. This is because Y8 pupils at St Thomas More Catholic School , London have been peer assessing our work as part of their RE lessons. As you will see from their very positive comments they have carefully studied our work and were very impressed! So much so that they didn't believe it was Y7 pupils that did the work! Have a read of their comments and visit their blog to see what they have been up to at http://stmre8.edublogs.org/
My son, Joe, who is just about to do his RE As has just told me about a super site which has some great RE games. Not sure about the one called 'Fling the Teacher' but have a go and let me know what you think! http://www.rsrevision.com/contents/games.htm
Some Year 7 pupils have been learning about the Christian Festival of Pentecost over the last couple of weeks. They read the story from Acts 2 in the New Testament and then worked in small groups to produce a piece of art work that explains it. Their work was then displayed at a Hope 2008, the Island Churches Celebration of Penteost at St. George's Park, Newport on Sunday. Have a look at some of their work; explanations of what they did and the photos of them learning.
